Finishing school in Boston I headed west in my VW camper stopping along the way to work and play. Aspen Colorado was one of my first stops where I had too much fun. One of my most memorable but least liked jobs has working in a mine in Utah. Eventually arriving in Marin County next to San Francisco, I immediately fell in love with Northern California. In the Spring of 1978 I opened a small, outdoor gear and clothing store in Santa Rosa California, center of the wine country in Northern California. I’m there at present. There was no end to the activities I took up back then. I became a pilot, leaned to scuba dive, windsurf, backpacking, climbing, kayaking, sailing on the bay, skiing and ski mountaineering, and of course motorcycling, the list go on and on. When I retire and begin my travels again eventually the road will lead me back to Northern California.
